50,000x instead of 5,000x, an RTP of 96.70% and a volatility switch. Inside there are two new block types, a fifth pickaxe tier and a bonus that splits into three levels by scatter count. Like the first game, it runs on Stake and nowhere else.
Four familiar blocks kept their payouts: dirt 0x, stone 0.10x, gold 3x, diamond 5x and obsidian 25x. Ore was renamed red stone and still pays 1x. The two new blocks change not the payout but the shape of the round.
Blast Ore breaks in two hits, returns 0.50x and detonates. The blast damages neighbouring blocks, so one of them in the right spot clears half a column for free. Mystery Block pays a range from 2.5x to 100x, the only block in the family whose value is not fixed.
One thing follows from that. In the first game depth decided everything: the lower you dug, the more the block paid. Here value can sit in any row, and the round stopped being linear.

Five tiers now, and the top one solves an old problem. The obsidian pickaxe strikes seven times, exactly what an obsidian block holds. For the first time in the family, one tool breaks the most expensive block by itself.
Books hand it out. A regular Enhance Book lifts every pickaxe on the reels to diamond; the Max Enhance Book takes them to obsidian. TNT was strengthened too: it now explodes in a 3x3 area and deals 2 damage to every block it touches.

Every bronze pickaxe leaves the game. The weakest tier stops appearing, so each spin hits at least twice as hard.
Only gold, diamond and obsidian pickaxes remain on the reels. Nothing weaker than gold can land, which means three hits minimum.
The menu opens by clicking the Paperclip Gaming logo and brings the volatility switch with it. Seven options sit inside, making this the most configurable game of the line; the first had two.
Four of them work on a single spin: Extra Chance at 3x, Super Chance at 6x, Diamond Spin at 250x and Obsidian Spin at 1000x. The other three buy a whole bonus: Block Bonus at 100x, Super Block Bonus at 300x and Mystery Spin at 500x.
Mine Drop 2 launched on 28 July 2026. Stake statistics show 12,588,714 bets worth 94,732,439.18 USD over its lifetime, which means almost all of that turnover came in the opening month.
The first game holds more bets at 20,036,375, but it collected them from September 2025 onward while the sequel took a month.

It pays anywhere from 2.5x to 100x, so one block can carry a whole round. It is the only block in the family whose payout is a range rather than a fixed figure.
It breaks in two hits, pays 0.50x and detonates, damaging everything around it. In practice it is TNT built into the mine itself.
Three scatters give the standard Block Bonus of 4 spins. Four trigger the Super Block Bonus, which removes every bronze pickaxe from the game. Five open the Epic Block Bonus, where only gold, diamond and obsidian pickaxes appear.
It comes with the buy menu, which opens by clicking the Paperclip Gaming logo. It changes the shape of the game: rarer and larger, or more frequent and smaller.
On Stake only, like the first game. The game card carries an Only on Stake mark and the studio works with no other operator.
